Welcome to Archiestown War Memorial

families from RAF Lossiemouth and RAF Kinloss began to discover the beauty and tranquillity of the area; they liked the benefits of a country life and rural schooling for their children for the duration of their northern posting. They liked it so much that many of them have stayed.

While the parish of Knockando is far from being a garrison town military life has coursed through its history for 250 years.

2010 marks the 250th year since the founding of our village and it is fitting that, at this anniversary, we should remember the men of the parish who were lost during the two world wars.
